Outstanding reputation

Before I found out I was expecting I was not very familiar with the term "midwife." I had heard it many times, but did not truly know what it meant or encompassed.

My husband and I decided to become familiar with the Haliburton midwives for a variety of reasons, namely the outstanding reputation they had within the community, and the ease and convenience of them being located in the village of Haliburton. Not having a local doctor meant I would be travelling outside of the area for appointments and this was unappealing to me.

From the very first phone call to our final appointment, we were amazed at the care and support we received from Stephanie, Kathleen and Rebecca. The team was outstanding and made the pregnancy journey enjoyable from start to finish. The knowledge these women have about the birthing experience is outstanding, and we couldn't have been more impressed with their professional approach.

My life was forever changed the moment I found out I was pregnant and I am truly grateful that the Haliburton midwives were a part of that experience.
